Our com­pa­ny head­quar­ters are loca­ted in the beau­tiful Swa­bi­an Alb Bio­sphe­re Reser­ve, in the reco­g­nis­ed cli­ma­tic health resort of Goma­din­gen. At SKR, a clo­se con­nec­tion to natu­re has a long tra­di­ti­on, and envi­ron­men­tal pro­tec­tion plays an important role in our busi­ness. This is reflec­ted, among other things, in the design of our com­pa­ny buil­ding. For exam­p­le, our hea­ting sys­tem runs exclu­si­ve­ly on wood chips, a rene­wa­ble bio­mass fuel that releases CO₂ when burned.₂-Aus­stoß deut­lich unter dem von Heiz­öl liegt. We coll­ect rain­wa­ter in a cis­tern, and any water we do not use is allo­wed to soak natu­ral­ly into the ground on our pre­mi­ses. In addi­ti­on, we have instal­led pho­to­vol­taic panels cove­ring more than 650 squa­re met­res of our roof. The­se gene­ra­te enough elec­tri­ci­ty to exceed our dai­ly elec­tri­ci­ty requi­re­ments. This means that the com­pon­ents you order from SKR are manu­fac­tu­red using envi­ron­men­tal­ly fri­end­ly solar ener­gy. As a result, we avo­id more than 70,000 kg of CO₂ emis­si­ons every year._2.

Fur­ther­mo­re, we are gra­du­al­ly con­ver­ting our com­pa­ny vehic­le fleet to elec­tric vehic­les. Through the­se mea­su­res, SKR is making a meaningful con­tri­bu­ti­on to envi­ron­men­tal pro­tec­tion and sustainability.
